With wedding and engagement season in full swing, almost everyone knows a couple tying the knot. After the wedding and the honeymoon, these two people will likely be combining households, or receiving lots of amazing gifts for their existing household. This means many duplicate items in the kitchen, living room, and bedroom.
Instead of putting the extras in storage or trying to find counter space for three blenders, donate them to the Furniture Bank! We are always looking for donated items to pass along to families in need. Whether it’s getting rid of the old coffee maker because you received a new Keurig from your registry, or ditching the extra couch from your old apartment, contact the Furniture Bank about donations. In addition to furniture, we make kitchen kits with plates, bowls, silverware, cups, and any additional kitchen items like pots and spatulas to help our clients stock their new kitchens.
Items we accept:
- Gently used furniture
- Mattresses and box springs
- Small kitchen appliances (blenders, coffee makers, etc.)
- Kitchen utensils and items
- Linens
If you or anyone you know are getting married soon, be sure to think about the Furniture Bank when you are getting rid of those duplicate items.
