Imagine rebuilding your life after hardship—finally finding a safe place to live, only to walk into your new apartment with nothing but bare floors and blank walls. No bed to sleep in. No table to share a meal. No sofa to sit and exhale after a long day.
That’s where the Furniture Bank steps in. We believe that turning an empty house into a furnished home is the foundation of a stable life. Every bed, table, and sofa we provide helps families rebuild after loss, offering comfort, dignity, and a renewed sense of hope.
This year, we experienced our own version of loss. In June, a devastating fire destroyed our warehouse and all of our inventory—our “home” and everything inside it. In that moment, we felt firsthand what so many of our clients feel when they lose everything: shock, grief, and uncertainty about how to begin again.
But like the families we serve, we started rebuilding. With the support of donors and partners, our team immediately found temporary spaces and got back to work. We refused to let the fire stop us from serving those who need us most.
Thanks to that determination and your generosity, we’ve provided furniture to 1,316 families this year, including 1,658 children who now have warm beds to sleep in at night. These are children who can rest, grow, and learn; parents who can cook a family meal again; and individuals who can finally sit, gather, and heal.
Now, we stand at a pivotal moment—a chance not just to rebuild, but to expand our impact. Our new, larger home will allow us to serve hundreds more families each year, reduce wait times, and ensure that every person transitioning out of crisis has the furniture they need to start again. But we can’t take this next step without you.
We urgently need your help to restock our inventory, prepare our new facility, and ensure families have the furniture they need before the year ends. Your gift today will help provide a bed for a child, a table where a family can share their first meal together, and a sofa that offers a place to rest and reconnect.
Together, we can rebuild hope—one home, one family, and one piece of furniture at a time.
