Volunteer FAQs

The Furniture Bank can accommodate groups of up to 120 volunteers. Groups of more than 60 require
additional notice. Please email volunteer@furniturebankatlanta.org to schedule a group with more than
60 volunteers.

We have 2 parking spots allocated for volunteers in our front lot located at 908 Murphy Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30310. In our back lot, we have about 8 additional spaces. Our rear parking lot is located directly across the street from 928 Allene Ave, Atlanta, GA 30310.

While street parking is available on Allene Ave., we ask that you keep street parking to a minimum to not overwhelm our neighborhood streets. Please note that we will not be able to monitor any cars parked on the street, nor will volunteers be able to see them during their project. Park on the street at your own risk.

Because parking spots at the Furniture Bank are limited, we recommend volunteer groups carpool, use rideshare services, or take public transportation. Our warehouse is just a half-mile walk from the West End MARTA station.

Furniture builds require a $60 donation per piece of furniture to help cover the costs of materials.

A group of X people will typically build X number of items in a 3-hour period. For example, 30 volunteers
will typically build 30 pieces. 30 x $60 = $1,800.
